Sometimes you just have to take a step back and appreciate life for what it is. Life, the ability to live, is the most scientifically advanced, precious thing any human being can do. It's mind blowing. You have the power to obtain and achieve pretty much anything you want with hard work and respect for yourself and others. It's a simple concept, really. But everyday stresses, bumps in the road, frustrations make it seem like the simplicity of it all disappears. But it never really does. We just become distracted from the good and the possibility. That's one of the set backs about being human, we all get distracted too easily. The only thing holding us back is ourselves. Isn't that something? We are our own worst enemy and best friend. No wonder so many people constantly struggle with battles within themselves. It makes me sick to realize just how many decide that the only way out is to not live any longer. It's not even adults that are making the majority of this choice. It's kids, teenagers. People who still have their whole life to live. Another boy I met just one time took his own life this week. He was going to be a senior in high school. His internal struggle with himself became too much to bear. I wish there is some way to bring these people back and connect them with their families to show that there is hope and we all can live a happy life. Last summer, another boy, a friend of my brother's, took his life as well. These kids are so young! Younger than me. But on both days, I watched the sun peek thru the clouds in such a godly way that I knew that they were happier and pain free in their new eternal home. That's why death shouldn't be scary. Heaven takes away pain and suffering and only has peace. There is no internal struggle. So much has happened to me this week, and this is just one thing to think about. Remember Marcus and Robert instead of sinking further into your own internal struggle tonight.
Until next time,
